Terms of use

The CARBOSCOPE webtool is designed to show the results of atmospheric inversions to the public and the scientific community. These recent research results are made freely available by paritcipating laboratories. Despite our continuous efforts to improve its content, and provide regular updates, It is possible that errors or inconsitences in CARBOSCOPE remain contained in the displayed tables or figures. If you suspect such an error, or would like to suggest an improvement please contact Dr Philippe PEYLIN and we will get back to you.

These research results are made freely available to the public and the scientific community, trusting that their wide dissemination will lead to greater understanding and new scientific insights and progress. The availability of CARBOSCOPE data does not constitute publication. We rely on the ethics and integrity of the user to assure that data contributors receive fair credit for our work. If the CARBOSCOPE data are essential to the work, or if an important result or conclusion depends on the CARBOSCOPE data, co-authorship may be appropriate. This should be discussed at an early stage in the work. We kindly encourage you to send manuscripts using the CARBOSCOPE data for review before they are submitted for publication so we can insure that the quality and limitations of the data and their uncertainties are properly represented.
